Research and Planning: Post for the week

Today, people from our class are showing their trailers so far, because we have been filming the video for our council, we haven't got much to show, so instead of showing a little bit of film, we are going to film more over the weekend and then show the class next week.

Research and Planning: Mise-en-scene Makeup.

These are the two girls starring in our film trailer. Abbie(at the top) has more natural makeup which is what we want. Jess(at the bottom) has dark makeup, which looks nice but doesn't really fit the character she is playing, so we are going to ask her not to wear lipstick.

Research and Planning: Weather Forecast

I have decided that we are going to start filming our trailer, so at the start of the week I looked at the weather forecast for this week, and the only bad day to film would be a Thursday, so we are going to film on Wednesday because we need the college building so we cant on Saturday, and out of Wednesday and Friday, today was better for us.

Research and Planning: Film making experience

Over the past few weeks me and some people from media have been making a film to promote our local council. During this video we have had to think about Cinematography, Sound, Editing and Mise-En-Scene to some extent.
This has given me a chance to start looking at these things before trying to make our trailer. I think it has really helped me and hopefully will make my trailer look and sound better.
I have enjoyed editing the film, so I will be helping Sam in the group to edit the trailer, and he will probably help me with my Mise-En-Scene too.

Research and Planning: Prop list

Because I'm doing Mise-En-Scene, I need to buy all of the props. I have set a budget of £20 but if we need more money, Sam and Sammi will have to chip in.
I have already done a prop list, but after having another look, there are things I missed, so this is my new list.

-Photo frame (we will probably have one of these at home, but we will have to take a picture and get it printed out to go into the frame)

-Rope

-Duct tape

-Missing poster x3 (which we will print off and make at college)

-Newspaper (which we will have to make)

-Mobile phones x3 (we will let the actors use there own)

-Car (one of our actors can drive, so we are going to use his car)

-Fake blood(which I have at home)

-Shoe (we can use one of the actors)
